The objective of establishing Ekologiczne Materiały Grzewcze Sp. z o.o., business name EMG Sp. z o.o., is to process biomass and in particular the production of fuel pellets, its distribution and universal implementation of new heating technologies with the use of sources of cheap, ecological and renewable energy. The Company is located in Podlaskie Province which is mainly covered with wooded areas: Knyszynska, Białowieża and Piska primeval forests that constitute the natural source of raw material for the production of pellets. The location of the pellet plant in the region of the Biebrza, Narew and Białowieża National Parks which are called the "Lungs of Poland" will undoubtedly contribute to the protection of air and thus prevent further degradation of the unique natural environment in this area. Creating its business strategy EMG assumed that the Company will focus on the following issues: Building a fuel pellets manufacturing plant with the processing capacity of 100 thousand m3 of biomass and production capacity of 35 thousand tons of pellets annually by the end of the first quarter 2006. Assurance of sales markets for the product. At the first stage export to the countries of Western Europe and later on implementation of new technology heating equipment on the territory of Podlaskie Province especially in the area of the Biebrza, Białowieża and Narew National Parks which will result in the replacement of oil boilers, gas and coal of the capacity from 25 KW to 800 KW with the modern boilers fueled by pellets in about 5000 old-fashioned boiler rooms by the end of 2008. At the same time this is building a sales market for the all-year-round production of the pellets plant.
